The mausoleum was once part of one of the largest and oldest complexes of Muslim cemeteries in Skopje. The cemetery was destroyed in 1955 and the mausoleum in the 1963 earthquake.
In 2013, with the financial support of the Bursa Municipality of the Republic of Türkiye, the tomb was rebuilt.
