The foundation remains of the madrasa, located around the courtyard of the Hüsrev Pasha Mosque, were unearthed during archaeological excavations conducted by Orhan Cezmi Tuncer during the mosque's restoration. Based on the data obtained, the madrasa's plan was understood, and the structure was subsequently reconstructed. Accordingly, the madrasa has a plan layout consisting of cells surrounding the mosque courtyard, a common feature in 16th-century Ottoman architecture. Its endowment deed states that the building consisted of twelve cells and a classroom, while Uluçam suggests a total of fifteen cells, including the corner cells.
