Date of Construction: 1509-1541

Its founder: Its construction was started by Ramazanoğlu Halil Bey in 1509. After his death, it was completed by his son Piri Mehmet Pasha in 1541.

Description: The Mosque, Halil Bey Masjid (Small Masjid) (Receb 898 / April 1493), madrasah (947/1540), harem (Şaban 900 / May 1495), selamlık (903/1498), Çarşı Hamam (947/1540), Gön Han (937/1531), soup kitchen (947/1540), arasta and bazaars (1531-1540) together form a social complex. Of these, the soup kitchen and the women's section of the Çarşı Hamam have completely disappeared, only the door of Gön Han remains standing, only a part of the structure known as the selamlık has survived to the present day in a ruined state. The Ulucami with the tomb inside it, the madrasah next to it and other structures have preserved their original architecture. (Adana Grand Mosque, DİA, Nusret Çam)

Ramazanoğlu Halil Bey, Piri Mehmet Pasha and Piri Mehmet Pasha's two sons are buried in the tomb.

The mosque, which bears traces of Mamluk and Seljuk architecture, has two doors on the east and west side. Its 16th century tiles are famous.

 

The mosque was restored between 1998-2004.
