Çivizade Mosque was built in Istanbul Topkapı Pazartekke Neighborhood Kalburcu Mehmet Mosque Street. The first person to build the mosque was Çivizade Şeyh Mehmet Efendi, the Sheikh-ul-Islam of Sultan Murad III. There is another mosque in the Women's Market with the same name, built by the daughter of Çivizade Mehmet Efendi. The structure built in the 16th century was demolished shortly after and rebuilt by Kalburcu Mehmet Efendi. The mosque, which was ruined over time, was rebuilt in 1990 with reinforced concrete.

The building is separated from the street by a regular perimeter wall. The mosque is entered from the courtyard. The building has a rectangular plan and is built vertically. The front of the narthex is covered with glass joinery. The harim section of the mosque and the narthex are under a single roof. The roof is wooden and covered with tiles. Since the building was built recently, no original structural detail from the old building has survived to the present day. The mosque is quite well-maintained.
