Doğanlı Castle and Deveboynu Castle are two castles located on a rocky plateau, quite high above the valley floor, approximately 1.5 km northwest of Çukurca village in the valley. Deveboynu Castle is located on the edge of a rocky slope. There are two typical Phrygian rock tombs on the northwest side of the rock. Doğanlı Castle was built on a single rock, approximately 50 m west of Deveboynu Castle. Almost all of the seven floors carved into the rock date back to the Byzantine period. It looks like a typical Byzantine castle, but due to its strategic position controlling the valley, it is believed that the area was already used during the Phrygian period.
