Makbul Ibrahim Pasha Mosque

The Old Yağkapanı Mosque is located on the shores of the Golden Horn in Perşembepazarı. This magnificent mosque was built by Makbul (Maktul) İbrahim Pasha (d. 942/1536). The mosque, which has vaulted shop windows underneath, is seen in old photographs as a classical-style structure built of stone and brick rows with a wooden minaret. It was renovated to its current form in the early XNUMXth century. ¹
