Architect in 1916-1917 Vedat Tek It was built by the British Yacht Club. It served as the British Yacht Club for a while.

In 1986, due to the low number of passengers, ferry services became less frequent and the pier was taken out of service.

TDİ and the Chamber of Shipping initiated a rescue project in 2000, and the pier was put into temporary service again with the cabotage holiday of 2001. The pier building, which was later operated as a cafe, was reopened as a pier and library on 19.08.2022 after the restoration work carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
