It is known that there was a fountain on Nakşibendi Street, in front of the Nakşibendi Tekke near Samanpazarı Square. Located north of the tomb of Sheikh Hüseyin Efendi, which no longer exists, the fountain was later removed. During the creation of Samanpazarı Square, all structures used by the Nakşibendi Order, including the tekke, tomb, and fountain, were expropriated and demolished between 1935 and 1940. The location of the fountain corresponds to the site of the Altındağ Municipality building at the end of Anafartalar Street today. Located on the Elmadağ water line, the fountain was repaired during the governorship of Abidin Pasha (1886-1894). During this period, the Nakşibendi Fountain was one of 32 fountains located on the Elmadağ water line.
It started obtaining its water from the Atpazarı water distribution center in 1890.
