The Shah Abbas Caravanserai was built in the early 17th century around Shah Abbas Square in the historic center of Ganja. Construction began in 1606 by order of Shah Abbas Safavi, and the design and construction of the building were carried out by the renowned architect Sheikh Bahaddin Amili. The two-story caravanserai contained 54 single rooms, 15 large rooms, a dining hall, a tea room, and various storage areas. Restored between 2015 and 2019, the building is now used as a hotel and service facilities while preserving its historic appearance.1
