In addition to being the oldest Ottoman structure within the borders of Bolu province, it is one of the early Ottoman structures that have survived in Anatolia. It has a rectangular plan close to a square and was built as a Friday Mosque.
The mosque, which was built by placing wooden beams between rubble stones, has cut stones in its corners. The wooden roof of the mosque is covered with Turkish style tiles. Some damaged sections of the roof were renewed with Marseille type tiles. Inside the mosque, there is a wooden gallery on the east-west direction, a pulpit and a mihrab showing beautiful woodwork. The north and east walls are largely destroyed*.
