The Euthymios Monastery, also known as Khan el-Aḥmar, or the “Red Caravanserai,” is an archaeological site located in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. It is situated approximately 14 km east of Jerusalem, in Mishor Adummim, the industrial zone of the Israeli settlement of Maʿale Adummim.
During the reign of Sultan Baybars, around 1289, the monastery was converted into a caravanserai that provided lodging for Muslim pilgrims at Nabi Musa.1
