Antalya's smallest mosque Kaleiçi's stone-paved, wooden-housed roads all lead to the historical harbor. The bay surrounded by a cordon, where wooden boats are moored, continues to bear witness to time. While the ramparts rising right after the harbor defy time, a small structure rises in front of the rocks below Kırkmerdiven. Thousands of people come and go in front of this structure every day. However, those who hear the call to prayer during prayers and those who know the purpose of the building are unaware that the structure is a mosque. Yet the structure they walk past is Antalya's smallest historical mosque. The İskele Mosque located in Kaleiçi Marina is one of Antalya's values with its 46 square meter usable area, water source underneath, hexagonal structure and simplicity.
It was built in 1903. The İskele Mosque in the Kaleiçi Yacht Harbour is in front of Tekelioğlu House, in front of the lowest step of Kırkmerdiven. The İskele Mosque, which is in the shape of a kiosk prayer room, was built on a hexagonal plan and was built by Kenan Pasha and Şakir Efendi in 1903 during the Ottoman Period. However, it is thought that there was a mosque from the Seljuk Period at the same spot before this date.
